Meet Louise

I originally trained at the world famous Susan Robinson School of Ballet in Surrey, Woodley School of Ballet and the Royal Ballet School.  I was lucky enough to be taught by many great teachers such as Miss June Mitchell at the RAD, Frank Freeman and Bridget Espinosa.  I danced in many RAD demonstrations for professional dancers such as David Wall and Antionette Sibley and won the Grandison Clark Award for the most outstanding dancer at age 15.

I completed my training at Elmhurst Ballet School gaining my RAD Advanced 2 ballet, ISTD Advanced 2 Tap and Modern at 16yrs.  Since then I have danced in many productions and performances in Musical Theatre and established ballet's such as Giselle, Coppelia and The Nutcraker.

On leaving my professional career and on the birth of my first child, I completed a dance teachers degree course with the British Ballet Organisation with former ballerina Brenda Last OBE gaining extremely high marks for my teaching exams.  Since I first began teaching at my mothers dance school 18 years ago, I have gained vast experience in all ages and have given students the opportunity to perform on stage, screen and become teachers themselves.

I am currently the Chairman of the Membership Committee for the British Ballet Organisation, a position I am extremely proud of.

I took over Daphne Bennett School of Dancing from Daphne Reid in 2005 and the school has continued to grow and flourish over the last years.  My grateful thanks to those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our pupils have the opportunity to fulfill their dreams and aspirations!
